Senior Vice President, Global Customer Retention
Thomas Harms serves as senior vice president of Global Customer Retention at Herbalife. He is responsible for the global resources that ensure that the company is meeting the needs of its Distributors around the world and continues to deliver on its customer retention strategies.
Mr. Harms previously served as senior vice president and managing director of the company’s Asia-Pacific and China regions. In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of the Herbalife business in these regions, including strategies, Distributor relations and financial performance. Additionally, he served as vice president of sales, marketing and business development for the EMEA region. During this time, he led the development of new product strategies to leverage regional opportunities and developed new technology platforms, better enabling consumer sales, strategy and insight efforts.
From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Harms served as senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, where he was responsible for the Herbalife brand and marketing function globally. Specifically, he oversaw brand strategy, global creative, product marketing, channel marketing, sports marketing and sponsorships, Distributor training and education. Mr. Harms reorganised and refocused product marketing while developing a five-year product innovation strategy to drive new product ideation in support of the business and brand goals. In addition, from 2001 to 2012, he held various sales and marketing roles at Herbalife, both nationally and internationally.
Prior to joining Herbalife, he held various roles at Allied Domecq Retailing International (ADRI), including serving as vice president of the Latin America region, where he led the team in the development of ADRI brands and sales through appropriate market and channel development.
Mr. Harms earned a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Redlands.
