Gary Small

Biography
Dr. Gary Small is a member of the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board. He also serves as chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center and as physician-in-chief for Behavioral Health Services at Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive health system.
Previously, Dr. Small was a professor of psychiatry and aging at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.* He was also the director of the division of Geriatric Psychiatry at the Semel Institute and the UCLA* Longevity Center.
Named one of the world’s top 50 innovators in science and technology by Scientific American, he has been at the forefront of research on age-related cognitive decline and mental illness. Dr. Small has authored over 500 scientific publications and has appeared frequently on “Today,” “Good Morning America,” PBS and CNN. He has coauthored 12 popular books with his wife Gigi Vorgan, including the New York Times bestseller, “The Memory Bible.”
Dr. Small is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, a summa cum laude graduate of UCLA* and an Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
