John DeSimone

John DeSimone is a seasoned financial leader with a strategic mindset and a deep commitment to driving growth and delivering value. As chief financial officer of Herbalife, he oversees the company’s global financial operations – including financial reporting, strategic planning, accounting, tax, treasury, audit, and investor relations.

John joined Herbalife in 2007 and has played a key role in shaping the company’s evolution. In 2024, he was appointed chief financial officer, a position he previously held at Herbalife from 2010 to 2018. Over the years, he has held several senior leadership positions including president, chief strategic officer, and most recently, special advisor to the CEO. In these roles, he led initiatives that strengthened Herbalife’s global business, expanded Distributor support and enhanced operational performance across regions.

John’s leadership style is rooted in collaboration, data-driven decision-making and a long-term vision for financial health and business innovation. He is known for his ability to simplify complex financial concepts, making them actionable for both corporate teams and field leaders. His approach emphasizes transparency and strategic foresight, ensuring Herbalife remains agile and well-positioned for future growth.

Prior to joining Herbalife, John held senior financial roles at Rexall Sundown Inc., a multinational supplement and sports nutrition company. With over two decades in the corporate finance world, he blends deep expertise with a passion for purpose-driven leadership. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University and remains actively engaged in the community – including past service on the board of trustees for the California Science Center.
