Prepared with Protein Drink Mix and Formula 3 Personalised protein powder*, these squares are a nutrient powerhouse, packed with high-quality protein from quinoa and flaxseeds, with a delicious natural sweetness from the dates.

  • 1 serving (28 g) Herbalife Protein Drink Mix 
  • 2 servings (12 g) Herbalife Formula 3 Personalised Protein Powder 
  • 25 g quinoa, red or white 
  • 25 g linseed (flaxseed)  
  • 250 g rolled oats 
  • 50 g desiccated coconut 
  • 175 g coconut oil 
  • 135 ml agave syrup 
  • 100 g dates, chopped 



  • Preheat the oven to 180° C (160° C Fan). 
  • Line a 20 centimetre square tin with parchment paper. 
  • Cook the quinoa in a dry frying pan over medium heat, tossing regularly, for a few minutes until a couple of shades darker and toasted. Tip out of the pan and set aside to cool.  
  • Use a blender to grind the linseed into a powder.  
  • Mix together the oats, quinoa, milled linseed, desiccated coconut, Formula 3 Personalised Protein Powder and Protein Drink Mix. 
  • Heat the coconut oil in a saucepan over a medium to high heat until melted. 
  • Add in the agave syrup. 
  • Mix in the chopped dates. 
  • Pour into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix until evenly combined. 
  • Press the mixture into the prepared tin and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden. 
  • Allow to cool in the tin, then remove, still in the paper and cut into 16 squares. Place on a rack to cool. 


  • Store in an air-tight container for up to 1 week. These will also freeze well.
