Herbalife Family Foundation mobilises IDR 585 million in humanitarian aid for flood-affected communities in Sumatra

Herbalife, a premier health and wellness company, community and platform, through the Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF), has delivered humanitarian assistance to communities affected by severe flooding in Sumatra. The relief initiative was caried out in collaboration with Lembaga Kemanusiaan dan Tanggap Bencana (LKTB), the humanitarian and disaster-response arm of the Indonesian Medical Doctor Association/Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI).

Through this initiative, Herbalife successfully raised IDR 585,000,000 in December 2025 and January 2026. The funds have been allocated to support emergency response and recovery efforts across affected communities, including Aceh Tamiang, one of the hardest-hit regions.

Collaboration with trusted partners such as IDI and LKTB enables us to deliver targeted assistance, particularly in essential needs such as nutrition, access to clean water, and basic healthcare support.”

As part of the relief efforts, Herbalife supported the establishment of operational tents in Aceh, which now serve as IDI/LKTB’s humanitarian operations centers. These posts provide critical support to affected communities, including nutritious food for mothers and infants, access to clean drinking water through the construction of several drilled wells, and the distribution of bottled water.

Herbalife Distributors also actively participated in the humanitarian mission alongside IDI volunteers, supporting the operation of the relief posts and providing nutritional shakes to volunteers and community members impacted by the flood.

This partnership has enabled more effective resource mobilization and expanded the reach of assistance to communities in need. The support provided—from clean water access and nutritional assistance to on-the-ground operational support—has been instrumental in strengthening the humanitarian response and accelerating community recovery.”

As part of the continued efforts after the December-January relief mission, a three-day post-visit was conducted to assess ongoing needs and reinforce recovery efforts in flood-affected areas, including Kota Lintang Bawah and Kampung Duren. The visit focused on ensuring the sustainability of earlier interventions, including the installation and monitoring of clean water facilities, post-flood health education sessions led by volunteer doctors, and the continued distribution of nutritional support to affected families.
